Shambles from the beginning. My simple commercial lease case was passed to three different solicitors during the process. Each time, despite paying thousands as the client, I was expected to bring the new solicitor up to speed myself, which made it clear there had been little or no proper internal handover.

There was also a lack of transparency, as I was only informed after appointing them that multiple people would be handling the case due to staff leave.

Phone calls were often filled with legal jargon, which led to repeated miscommunication rather than clarity. The lack of proactive case management was appalling. I had to spend a significant amount of time chasing the landlord myself just to keep matters moving. On several occasions there was no communication at all between the solicitor and landlord for over three weeks, and progress only happened when I intervened directly.

Whenever I raised concerns about the delays and lack of urgency, I felt dismissed. What should have been a straightforward matter taking around six weeks ended up dragging on for over a year.
