Let's be honest - it's such a pain buying and selling houses, dealing with estate agents and conveyancers etc - but I am making a point of leaving this unsolicited review for Katie Cooper at Fraser Dawbarns in Wisbech.
My dad has dementia and I live 2 hours away and have been supporting him in his sale/purchase to better suited accommodation.
Katie has been such a help, and a driving force in helping us complete the process. Since we had to change conveyancers mid process (as DC Law in Southport were piling more and more stress upon him even after I explained his condition and asked all communication comes through me) she's involved me all the way to ease the stress on dad and when dealing with him has always made things very straightforward for him.
I have nothing negative/constructive to say - if we have to go through this again, we won't even bother looking for others or comparing prices - we will go to FD and request Katie - simple!
Thank you very much Katie - really appreciate all the effort you put in!

A once dependable local firm suffering a long and slow commercial demise
Small town firm. Small town ability.

We recently used them as our solicitor in selling and buying our house.
The communication was terrible, we never got any updates and i had to keep calling them up to get answers.
Our buyers queries werent being responded to even though i gave the answers but the buyers solicitor didn't receive them until a week or sometimes two weeks later.
We had to exchange and complete on the same day because it was the deadline for stamp duty even though we started the process 3 and half months earlier in December.
We only had us and our buyers in our chain so thought it should be a smooth process but that wasn't the case at all.
I tried to make a complaint to a senior member of staff and they responded saying “moving is a stressful time” and then did/said nothing else.
Not impressed and wont be using them again
