Having recently tried to sell my property using bowser’s, I can honestly say that I will never use this firm again.
After giving instruction and all the necessary documentation for the sale process to commence, over month went by without any form of update or indication that anything was being done for the sale. Having bought and sold property before, I knew what to expect in terms of documentation etc. I decided to chase the matter. After ringing multiple times, it would appear that the solicitor (Ian Groome) overseeing my file was barely in the office. Not a huge deal; I spoke to his secretary who told me that they were waiting for permission to continue with the file. After 4+ weeks??
Another week went by and I rang the office again, only to be told that both my solicitor and his secretary weren’t in and I would be directed to a separate employee who can assist (Sara-Jane). After an attempt to check the file was made on the phone, I was told that I would get a call back after Sara had looked for an update on the file… I never recieved a call back. This was when I decided to move my case elsewhere

By contrast, I rang Fraser dawbarns of March. Told them the exact same information as I told bowsers, and within 2 days I received a full welcome pack and the necessary documents expected when selling a property. My solicitor has been in contact with me on a weekly basis, and the sale is now in motion. Albeit a month after I would have liked it to, but we got there in the end.

I’m not saying this will be the case with everyone who uses this firm, but if I was a first time buyer with no experience of the legal process involved I would’ve been taken for a ride. The kicker is that the buyer’s solicitor was from bowsers in March, so they couldn’t even point the finger and say it’s the other sides fault it’s taking so long.

Incredibly disappointing. Consider your options.

Sadly, a disappointing review a few years ago I had this Company was assisting me in a property purchase. I explained to the company that I had a four week deadline to have all land registry checks and everything put in place as the seller had a strict deadline. The company had assured me that they would be able to complete all of this work within the time scale with ease after three weeks I contacted them to confirm that they were on schedule where they had not even started the job by week four. I phoned them and explained the import once again, which they told me it would be at least a couple of weeks before they would be able to help by then it was too late. The company had not followed out with the agreement that was in place I therefore disputed the invoice as they had not completed any work at this point I was still forced to pay the bill and threatened with court action. This company should not be trusted although I’m sure they have many previous positive

the case dragged on for a year, at first they assured me that I had a big step to win the case and get back the money that I was deceived with, for a whole year for each step I paid a certain amount in the end, even taking into account the fact that I immediately won the case they simply could not find these charlatans I spent about 3000 pounds just so that they would tell me how sympathetic they were. if I had known how long, expensive and ultimately unsuccessfully I would never have contacted

Highly recommended, First time buyer and absolutely clueless but David Groome helped me every step of the way answering all my queries in a very timely mannor and guiding me through all paperwork
