I have used Ask Legal for the second time now this time for a transfer of equity and they have been active on chasing and sorting information , very helpful discussing matters with me and advising.

Edel and Marcia have been brilliant though out the entire process , would recommend.

Sophie and Marcia were brilliant with helping my partner and myself go through the stages to buy our first home. They were really prompt with responses and even down to the last day when we completed they were there at the drop of a hat to help us out. Highly recommend!

You get what you pay for…

Bought our first house in December 2025 and we were recommended to use ask legal. Initial contact was very minimal after first payments made to Ask Legal. After some chasing we received documents to run through and sign, after which we requested any further documents to be sent to another address due to having an external postbox which leaks when it rains. We were told there would be no more paperwork required, so they didn’t need an alternative address. The next week, we return home to loads of soaked documents.

As time went on, again we were receiving no updates , and without multiple phone calls a day you will not get anywhere. I had an instance where documents allegedly ‘had not been received’ by mortgage provider. The story changed every call on the method they had been sent and what had gone wrong. Initially they were emailed, then Halifax apparently don’t receive fax anymore and they didn’t know, despite halifax saying this stopped in 2023. Before this, Marcia had said she had spoke to Halifax and that this would be closed out the next working day.

After calling them out on this, Marcia repeatedly spoke over me on the phone, before slamming it down as I was mid sentence. Then called me back 15 minutes later and started discussing another one of their clients personal information.

They ask your name when you initially call, so that they can say the person that you need to speak to is busy, so it means many trips to their office in Winslow.

The only positive is that they are cheaper than others in the area.

Great experience with the team at ASK Legal team ,keeping me updated at all times during the sale of my property. Emails and call backs help me through the process. My partner, recommended them during her sale of her house which was a good choice. Thanks Sophie and Marie for your help
