Would give no stars if possible.
Useless, slow, unresponsive.

My Grandmother passed away 3 years ago and I am still waiting on Barnes Marsland to complete her Will. The Grant of Probate has been passed over a year ago but I've still received nothing. They are very unresponsive, they will only email you back on a Monday the rest of the week you are ignored, they will give you excuses and blame other organizations but not back themselves up with any evidence they are even trying to do anything. Always vague responses. I try calling them but no one will talk to me, in fact they started to just ignore my calls altogether. I am now at the point where I have to get other solicitors and the legal Ombudsmen involved.

I 100% recommend you do NOT use Barnes Marsland. There are other solicitors in Broadstairs that are much better.

Almost 5 years of dealing with this company as joint executor of my aunts estate which included the sale of two properties left me exhausted completely broken and dependent on antidepressant medication I would not recommend them at all if there was less than one star I would have chosen that option, weeks of no communication, incredibly slow, unhelpful and very very expensive the only regular communication was their increasing bill.
My aunt put great trust in this company and was totally let down and failed, the solicitor dealing with our account worked less than 3 short days a week and was never around in school holidays no one covered her work so it just sat progressing nowhere for weeks on end, truly one of the worst experiences of my life and the worst decision my aunt ever made.

I wanted certification of ID for the auctioners of a property. Barnes Marsland refused as I was not an existing client. However I also needed a lawyer to handle the auction sale but was alienated from asking further in regard to their denial of basic service request.. I also shortly need services & help in a service charge dispute on a (different) propertyand on a will. Their attitude to me smacked of arrogance & disregard to clients...

Friendly, professional and compassionate staff. Barnes Marsland where there for me at very short notice and guided me through my options from start to finish. My solicitor was amazing, not only with regards to the case but with my personal wellbeing too....Cannot recommend this firm enough! Thank you for your service.
