I rarely feel motivated to write a negative review of a business, as running one myself, I understand the frustration that this can cause.

We instructed EMG to produce a simple employment contract for a self employed member of staff in our clinic. We were quoted £900 for this.

They were initially helpful. However, it quickly became clear that our emails were not being read and, despite us repeatedly chasing, the process became more and more drawn out. We responded promptly and thoroughly to their questions. They then began to repeatedly asked us questions we had already provided answers to, and then became condescening and rude in their replies.

5 months later, and we have been charged 2 additional fees totalling over £800 due to the 'complexity' of the work. The basis of this was due to information we had provided months before which required them to make more 'ammendements'. What then totally dumbfounded me is that, depsite the fact that the contract is near completion, we were informed that the department has now closed, and have been advised to instruct a new solicitor, which will naturally incur more fees.

I have never encountered such a bizarre way of working. I highly suggest anyone who is in need of legal help to look elsewhere.

We have now used EMG Solicitors twice for house purchases, and they have been fantastic on both occasions. Callum, Paige, Laura and Vicky are 10/10 during our most recent move they were excellent throughout. The buyers of our home unfortunately had solicitors who were not very efficient, but tgey were brilliant at chasing things up, keeping us informed, and responding quickly whenever we had questions. They made what could have been a stressful process feel smooth and well managed. We will definitely be using EMG Solicitors again in the future and would highly recommend them.
