HF have been instructed by Churchill insurance to act on my behalf exactly ONE YEAR AGO. Other than the initial email confirming they were taking on the case, they have still not been in contact with me. No replies to emails, no one answers the phone.

I absolutely do not recommend HF!! A formal complaint was made by my insurers AXA / Swiftcover in July 2025 on my behalf regarding my no fault motor insurance claim. I received a letter via email acknowledging the complaint and I haven't received any further communications from them yet - they should have responded within 8 weeks and it is now April 2026.
They also had obviously not read any information provided to them via their portal and, luckily, despite chasing them, had not submitted Court proceedings, as they seemingly were unaware of the facts. Had they have issued proceedings, they would have been struck out, so their incompetence and lack of progression proved to be in my favour...
Also, their lack of a final response to my formal complaint means that I am not time barred from taking this further with the Legal Ombudsman, which I am in the process of completing.
I would recommend that if your insurance company uses HF for motor recoveries, ask them to use another solicitor.

These law firm is a joke. Admiral insurance have instructed this firm to represent me against a third party claim. According to Admiral , they should have been in contact with me. It is only when i called this firm , that I was told that they did not have my details. However they had scheduled to pursue Admiral for my contact details on 10th March 2026.Then the receptionist , wants to go through the initial form. Again they claim that Admiral has not sent anything with the claim. Finally spoke to someone at the law firm , who told me they are waiting instructions from Admiral, But they have not contacted them . In the meantime whilst this law firm and Admiral work out what is going on , the client ( Me ) has lost money on excess and higher renewal premiums on clearly a third party fault. DO NOT USE THIS LAW FIRM !

Also , after this review was published 6 days ago, I had an email , that someone would contact me to discuss this matter. Guess what ? NOTHING !

So I called them today , for an update and after speaking to and explaining everything three times, I was transferred to a supervisor .who had no idea , why I was transferred. This law firm is a joke.!

Unfortunately my review seems to consist of the same complaints as nearly everyone eles. To sum up AVOID at all costs! There are far too many issues to go into details and to name them all but to summarise:
●Barely any communication unless it was me chasing
●Told me the wrong trial location!
●Passed me from person to person and each time had to go through the whole situation all over again. One of my handlers left and I got forgotten about!
●Left out MAJOR key points including a witness when it came to the trial!
●Provided me with the worst barrister ever to the point where he even turned against me in the trial and I was the claimant!
●Even the barrister said they are a terrible company to work for!
I was provided with them by 1st Central (another shocking company!) So definitely not out of choice! If you want a fair chance of winning and want to feel like you have solicitors that support you and are on your side find a different company because these guys are not it!
I even gave them the chance to correct their mistakes and apologise when I made a formal complaint with them but all I got in response was more lies, blame shifting and poor excuses!

Fundamentally dishonest and utterly incompetent. These were instructed by our insurer 19 May 2023. The matter is still not resolved. No updates provided, no explanation and rude staff who hang up on clients. I could write far more regarding their poor conduct. I cannot believe they’re allowed to continue operating. It’s a complete scandal and the Legal Ombudsman and/or the SRA should be taking action to shut them down as it seems my experience is far from unique.
