Recently sold & purchased with Talbots Dudley. What a mess it was. Both nearly fell through due to the incompetence of ‘Elliott Lothian’ who is supposed to be a ‘manger’ & ‘Charlotte Bryant’. Constantly chasing. I complained & it obviously affected my cases, even though they say it wouldn’t!! ‘Elliott Lothian’ also became quite aggressive in asking for a phone call. Which I declined. BE AWARE….

Terrible experience
Selling a flat (cash sale ) both motivated. Everything in place .
Took nearly 12 months. Nearly lost the sale . Talbots changed the case handler four times !every time they the new handler new nothing about it. Took them nearly 4 weeks to start the file. After nearly 4 months and numerous calls and emails the admitted it was down to staff issues ie people leaving
Right shambles. And to think the selling agent was recommending these is crazy.

Wouldn’t recommend. We’re still going through our purchase and sale, while a few hiccups are to be expected, Talbots have made the whole process a lot more stressful than it should be. Our solicitor never answers the phone (to ourselves, buyers or purchasers solicitor & the estate agents) and you can’t even leave a voicemail, which makes it feel really impersonal and frustrating.
I get that they prefer things in writing, but if that’s the case, they should at least follow up phone calls with an email to confirm what was discussed. It would make things so much clearer and save everyone a lot of stress.

The lack of communication has & is making the whole process much harder than it needs to be.
