I contacted Wadsworth's for a quote for conveyancing in respect of an apartment my wife and I are selling. They provided a quote, which we accepted. They then sent a pack of information and forms to be be completed and returned to them. My wife expended a lot of time and effort doing this only to be told after they had been submitted and we had paid £100 deposit that they didn't act in terms of conveyancing if the apartment was above 5th floor, which it is. Asad, the person at the Shirley branch I had most dealings with on the telephone, wasn't aware of this important company "rule" (he'd been told about it after the quote had been provided), nor was the lady we dealt with in the Henley-in-Arden office. The paperwork which we'd delivered to the Henley-in-Arden office (where we live) had been sent on to the company's office in Shirley. When I was told they didn't want the work they said they would return it to the office in Henley. We went in a few days later expecting to collect the paperwork, but it hadn't been sent back. We also asked for a refund of the £100 deposit and were told that they would ask Asad to do this. Again we waited for a number of days and in the end had to chase Asad, who had, until we chased, done absolutely nothing with the refund request. All in all, an incredibly bad experience, hence the 1* review.

I first used Wadsworth's to prepare my Will in 2020. The service was excellent so when I had a property to sell, I didn't hesitate to contact them. Throughout the process, I was kept informed and received a quick response whenever I requested a progress report. Thankyou for an excellent service.

Alex Tait worked on a couple of sales and purchases for me and everything was completed well and professionally. Communication was a little difficult at times, but not helped by the recent busy housing market. Overall I was happy with everything
