I was very close to giving this a one star if it wasn’t for Fiona…

We started dealing with Baldwin and Robinson back in August 2025 to buy our first ever property and at first it was going well. We were given Keury as our solicitor however we quickly realised the communication was very poor, the first property we wanted we had to ask 3 times to start the searches which took 3 weeks to start even though we told them to three times…

I could go on and on but once we found the new property we wanted everything went quickly to start with, the searches were done quickly etc. But despite this we would never get an answer to when we could exchange … I kept having to call people on behalf of the solicitors in order to get things rolling… about three times I asked for updates where Keury said that she was waiting for responses from the sellers solicitors where in fact when the estate agents called the sellers solicitor to chase they had sent it days prior… this happened about 3 times and we made her very aware of the timeline we wanted for both us as buyers and the sellers but nothing happened and the date came closer and closer and nothing was being done…

We then found out on the 26/01 that Keury had left the agency and we didn’t hear anything about it until then so it was a bit of a shock but we then got given Fiona as our new solicitor and it was a blessing in disguise and I cannot praise Fiona enough! She managed to pull everything together within the timeframe we wanted and the communication was excellent and she kept us updated throughout the process and despite the situation we managed to get the property with the help of Fiona! I don’t think we would have completed still if it wasn’t for her and Tiegan and Sarah to help as well so thank you for getting us our new home!!

Our experience with Baldwin and Robinson mixed. Overall, their conveyancing service was good, but their communication left a little to be desired.

I think this is understandable given the housing and economic circumstances we were buying our property in (they seemed very busy), but we would sometimes go for weeks without updates, be promised follow up from queries that would never come, and were told after several weeks of radio silence that there was outstanding paperwork on our end that could have been filled out while we were waiting!

When we did get in contact however, close to crunch time for our purchase, the service was good.
