Had an offer accepted on a house this company were acting for the estate on. After we had spent money on a survey, they then discovered that the house was not registered and they did not hold the deeds, which essentially means we couldn't proceed and had to pull out.

They took weeks to confirm their position, and despite completing the on line contact request and phoning them, they decided we weren't worthy of their time. Pretty disappointed a solicitors company would be so poor. We're now almost £1000 out of pocket, and wasted 6 weeks on a property we can't purchase.

Excellent firm of solicitors, very traditional. I am a property developer/investor and have received excellent service, advice and communication from Gudgeons Prentice on multiple transactions.

Currently dealing with this company as they are our sellers solicitor. We had our offer accepted in July and still won't be in for Christmas. They don't respond to emails properly, have caused numerous delays and won't answer the phone to fenn wrights. There is no chain with our purchase at all, and have no idea what the hold up is. The seller is apparently as annoyed as we are.
