Fosters acted for me recently on the sale of my rental property and I was really pleased with the service throughout. Communication was clear and timely, the process was handled efficiently, and I felt well supported from start to finish. A professional and reliable team who made what can be a stressful process feel straightforward. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and would certainly recommend to others.

I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others about my experience with Foster Solicitors Lowestoft. Buying a house is stressful enough without having to constantly chase your solicitor for updates, answers, or basic competence.

Throughout the entire process, communication was abysmal. Emails went unanswered for days, and I was often left completely in the dark about the status of my purchase. When I did manage to get through, responses were vague, dismissive, or contradictory.

To make matters worse, their attitude was unapologetic and unprofessional. I didn’t feel like a valued client; I felt like an inconvenience.

After months of delays and wasted time, Foster Solicitors Lowestoft decided they no longer wanted to proceed with my case. They failed to provide any specific reason for this decision, only referencing vague concerns about meeting their money laundering policy. This was especially confusing and upsetting given that the person who referred us to them was in the exact same financial and personal position as us, yet faced no such issues. The inconsistency and lack of transparency raise serious concerns about discriminatory treatment.

I would strongly advise anyone considering Foster Solicitors Lowestoft to look elsewhere. Buying a property is too important to entrust to a solicitor who can’t manage even the basics or treat clients with fairness and respect.

With respect, I find your explanation unsatisfactory. If my application did not meet your AML requirements, that should have been identified and communicated from the outset — not nearly two months later, after repeated delays, ignored emails, and ongoing uncertainty. It is unacceptable to proceed with a client matter without first confirming they meet your basic compliance thresholds.

Even when you ultimately decided not to proceed, no one from your firm explained what part of my application was lacking or gave me an opportunity to resolve it. I was left completely in the dark. Thankfully, I found another solicitor who clearly explained the issue and guided me on how to address it — something Foster failed to do at any point.

To make matters worse, when I called to request an update on my searches, the staff member I spoke to was dismissive and rude, telling me that I was “not a priority at the moment.” That level of attitude and disregard is entirely unprofessional and added unnecessary stress to an already difficult process.

The overall lack of communication, respect, and transparency from your firm has been extremely disappointing.

Fosters Solicitors are a great firm, the family department have been fantastic and have helped me get contact with my son, they always get back to you within a reasonable amount of time if you have any questions or worries and handle your case with professionalism. Thank you!!
