Emailed 2 weeks ago. Not even had the decency to reply or acknowledge my initial email to the company director

So my claim has been settled today after three and a half years. It was a medical negligence claim and has dragged on. I have had four solicitors, three left the company and never seemed to be making any progress until Luq took over the claim. He has been brilliant. He kept in regular contact, empathised with the situation and explained things in terms I could understand.

Do not touch this solicitors with a barge pole. If you work with them they will bat for the other side and you will see no progress in your claim. I was ignored for a period of time and they didn't ask the right questions. If you leave them to manage your case it will go to pots. The experience was so awful I had to remove them immediately.

Before you say my case had no propects of success, the words of the owner. The property in question had no insulation, no ventilation (against the law), electrical, gas hazards, signs of mildew, damp, condensation and high humidity. Breaching the housing law and building regulations in the UK. Our case from what we have been advised by legal professionals is a very strong case with necessary evidence. I was advised to pursue my case and assign to a solicitor. Made the mistake of assigning to this Solicitors.

The claim handler said I should be cleaning the moulded carpet caused by the disrepairs. Two claim handlers threatened me over the phone and told me I should remain in a dangerous property for 1 year otherwise they will drop my case. They got me to sign a document to confirm I will continue to pay rent and stay in the property and suffer. Made up stories I don't give access to the agents. I was a tenant that had a 10 + tenancy history with the rental so that is definately inaccurate. In my mind they took joy in not knowing anything about the case they took on.

They are lazy, rude, inconsiderate and incompetent liars. The owner knows her motives for running this operation. She said our case is a small claim. If this is correct why did they take my case on a no win no fee basis? It had already been assessed on merit. They just use people's case to generate ongoing income with no intention of fighting your corner. I complained to the director. Completely useless, she defended her claim handler. I honestly do not know what type legal service they provide? They help some and ignore others.

Contacted Phoenix Solicitors in Birkenhead twice with promise of return phone call. They just could not be bothered to even return a call. Very unhelpful and quite disappointing when Solicitors charge a lot of money for their time.
