We completed our house sale and purchase with DWS however I was not impressed by the quality of service. On documents we were asked to sign / agree to I had to get DWS to correct stamp duty and remove early repayment charges which was £1000s, something I am concerned vulnerable individuals would not have spotted and potentially paid in error. We also received paperwork to review / sign (circa 30 attachments) the week of the planned exchange which led to stress leading into the final weeks of the completion. They also insist on most documents being printed and a wet signiture being sent to thier office. I understand this for some documents e.g. contracts however the majority of them do not need this (as I did not need to do this for my previous purchase), be aware of extra printing and postage costs (and post office document and ID validation costs). Technically DWS will get the job done, however I am concerned about the inaccurate paperwork and business practices.

Painfully slow, lacking proactivity, poor communication.

I would not recommend DWS based on our experience so far.

DWS are acting on our buyers behalf. They are first-time buyers with no property to sell, yet their side of the transaction has taken the longest in the entire chain. What should have been a straightforward process has been plagued by unnecessary delays.

Communication has been slow, reactive rather than proactive. It took weeks just to onboard the buyers, creating avoidable delays and frustration for everyone else in the chain.

On more than one occasion, Pritesh has claimed not to have received emails from our solicitors, despite other emails being successfully sent to and received from the same email address. I also noticed another review referencing the same conveyancer describing a very similar issue regarding emails, which is concerning.

We have raised our frustrations throughout the transaction via our own solicitors and through the estate agent, but our concerns have not been noted or addressed and has made little difference.

These ongoing delays are potentially putting the entire chain at risk and have caused significant, unnecessary stress for everyone involved.

The transaction is still ongoing despite the rest of the chain being ready to complete.

DWS Legal have performed exceptionally well for us on what has been a protracted house sale. Always highly responsive with quick positive advice on the best way forward.
