⭐☆☆☆☆
My experience with Wrigley Claydon Solicitors has been one of the most stressful and disappointing experiences I have ever had when purchasing a property.
As a first-time buyer, I relied on my solicitors to identify and advise me on important risks and issues affecting the property. Unfortunately, after completion, serious issues came to light, including the presence of Japanese knotweed, which have caused significant financial loss, stress, anxiety and uncertainty.
I feel that key risks affecting the property were not adequately brought to my attention during the conveyancing process. Had I been properly informed of these risks and their potential impact, I would have been able to make a fully informed decision before proceeding with the purchase.
What has been particularly frustrating is the lack of accountability. Rather than acknowledging my concerns, I have been left feeling that responsibility is being shifted onto me and that I should have carried out further investigations myself. This is despite the fact that I instructed professional conveyancing solicitors specifically to guide me through the process and advise me on legal risks associated with the property.
I have spent countless hours trying to obtain answers, reviewing documents and seeking legal advice regarding matters that I believe should have been properly addressed during the transaction. The stress and financial consequences have been substantial.
Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this firm for residential conveyancing. I strongly encourage anyone considering using their services to carefully review all documentation themselves, ask extensive questions and seek independent advice where necessary before committing to a property purchase.
Very disappointed with the service received.

Emma has beem brilliant and just dealt with the sale of our property and again was very helpful, professional and supportive with good proactive communication. As per original review can only praise and recommend this practice for the sale or purchase of a property. Good efficient service. Emma was very helpful during our prolonged purchase. Would definately recommend.

Writing on behalf of my Father.
Emma was extremely thorough and helpful in the transfer of my property, following the separation of my partner and I.
She made an extremely difficult time a lot easier and kept me updated throughout the transaction.
Would highly recommend due to the professional, friendly and timely service.

I'm the General Counsel of a FTSE-listed Group and as such expect high standards of any lawyers working for me. Emma acted for me on the purchase of my home. Emma and her team were excellent; extremely responsive with meticulous attention to detail and able to deal with a rather complicated sale and for a very, very reasonable fee. I'm so impressed that I've referred various other friends, family and colleagues to Emma and her team and will use the Todmorden office for various matters, not just property related going forwards. All in all excellent and very highly recommended.
