I am appalled at the standards in this firm and they have brought nothing but suffering and are a nightmare to deal with. Especially wills and probate/trusts. If you wish suffering only, go to them. Nothing but an excuse for a solicitor. Spare yourselves heartache. My vulnerable 87 years old mother has been in trauma by their dealings. My poor father died, thinking he could trust them. I have Zero trust in them, after the fiasco I have been in with them. Someone put on reviews how he's been lied to, that sums them up. Some other poor person said he wishes they could be reported and investigated, I am in agreement, in the public interest they should be investigated for their maladministration and corruption. The Estate accounts were inconsistent in defining certain assets clearly, namely dad's cars in number and price. I was told several versions of where the cars were, which did not corroborate with the e mail from the alleged buyer that i was given. I was receiving tax reminders and parking fines in dad's name, two years after his death and the whole affair was mishandled. There were no valuation reports for any of his assets, coinage etc , no sales receipts for his cars, yet they insisted on Red book valuation reports, that I had to give them on his houses, which were in mum's name. What to speak of entering mum's house without her permission to seize his assets and claiming that it is bona fide and she had agreed to it, when she had not. I was told that they would be her power of attorney because she agreed, when she had not. Staff are rude when you call or go there. When you stand up to their bullying and abuse they charge the estate extortionate amounts to answer your complaint e mails. What to speak of basic administration tasks they delayed on causing knock on effects to mum's finances. To this date we are still receiving bank statements for dad's business, and as executors they can't even tell the bank that he has died and show them the death certificate!! What to speak of the anxiety trauma they caused on many occasions. This is a verified review from my personal experience of this disastrous firm. I hope someone can be spared by my account from getting entangled with them.

We were recommended this solicitors through our mortgage advisor for the purchase of our first home. Louise was great and took care of everything for us she was friendly and efficient and very helpful would definitely recommend!

My father's will was left in their hands. They ignored emails, calls to return my call went unheaded. After 4 weeks they said they would write to the beneficiaries to tell us our father had died. I would highly recommend people give them a wide berth. After 8 weeks, still no letters to the beneficiaries to introduce themselves at least if not to give the terms of business as promised.

I rang this company as me and my partner were going through a transfer of equity. I spoke with the Conveyancing team in the Colne branch who was not helpful in any way! He initially sent a letter to our mortgage company stating he would be acting on our behalf, after the mortgage company received this letter I didn’t here anything from the solicitor for 2 weeks. After the first week I called and left a message as he was busy, in the second week I called again, but he was "busy" once again. So I told the receptionist could he please call me back asap as it was important. Still no call after the third week so I called again and yes...... you guessed it right he was "busy" AGAIN! Very poor service, we could have had the transfer completed in these three weeks, complete waste of time and obviously thinks he is too good to reply to his customers. Disgusting! I am now dealing with Steele & Son Solicitors who are very helpful, talk you through each step and give you a decent quote for the minimal work that is carried out for the simple transfer of equity. I would not recommend using this company if you are looking for a helpful, speedy service. Hope this review helps people who are looking for a decent solicitor.
