I cannot recommend CTW, dartford office, highly enough. Andrew Prater was amazing! He was literally the best solicitor I have ever come across. He acknowledged every email within minutes, sent us emails out of hours (some were before 6am), kept us informed on our sale/purchase every step of the way and made us feel as if we were the only client he was dealing with, which is very unusual for a solicitor. As it got near the end, Harvey took over and he was equally as friendly and helpful. What a team! Thank you both so much for everything you did 😊

Our experience with Cook Taylor Woodhouse was very disappointing. We received a very poor standard of service throughout the transaction. We were not kept properly informed, updates were often lacking, and important matters were not explained clearly. We expected our solicitor to guide us through each stage of the process, but instead we regularly had to chase for information ourselves.
Our solicitor, Eve Bradshaw, handled both our sale and purchase. One of the biggest issues was that the management pack for the property we were buying was not requested until January 2026—around six to seven months after our offer had been accepted. This caused significant delays, put the entire chain at risk, and nearly resulted in the purchase collapsing.
As a result, our original mortgage offer expired, followed by a one-month extension. We then had to apply for a new mortgage with a different lender. We also had to obtain three Help to Buy valuation reports, costing around £1,000, and incurred approximately £600 in additional costs after losing our first buyer.
We were also charged around £1,000 to review a Deed of Variation that had already been prepared by the seller’s solicitors, which we felt was excessive.
Although we eventually completed our sale and purchase in March 2026 after almost 11 months, the delays, poor communication, lack of proper explanations, and additional costs caused our family significant stress and uncertainty. Based on our experience, we would not recommend Cook Taylor Woodhouse for a complex sale and purchase transaction.

Excellent service from Jessica Murphy.
Professional, responsive and helpful throughout the entire sale process. Despite a number of challenges along the way, Jessica kept everything moving and ensured a successful completion.
Highly recommended. Thank you for all your help.

Excellent experience buying a house with no chain. Jessica Murphy and Aastha Paul completed my transaction quickly and efficiently. They were supportive and professional throughout and made the whole thing as stress free and easy as possible. I highly recommend their services for all property transactions.

We want to thank Kirsty and Amreet at Cook Taylor Woodhouse (Dartford Branch) for helping us with our sale and purchase.
Although they have so many cases to deal with, they made us feel that we were important to them.
In the last few weeks where there were some queries taking longer to process, they managed to get us over the line by the agreed moving date.
THANK YOU

We had a great experience with Cook Taylor Woodhouse, who helped progress our property purchase smoothly from start to finish. The team kept us well informed with regular updates, responded quickly to any questions we had, and made the whole process feel simple and stress-free. Our completion was achieved in around 2–3 months, which we were really pleased with.
Andrew was our initial point of contact and was professional, efficient, and quick to resolve any questions or queries with the selling firm. We were then passed on to Harvey, who completed the purchase and continued the same high level of service. He was efficient, clear, and kept us well informed throughout the final stages.
We would happily recommend Cook Taylor Woodhouse to anyone looking for a reliable and professional conveyancing company.

I want to thank Andrew and especially Harvey at Cook Taylor Woodhouse Solicitors for all their hard work handling the legal side of my recent move.
They did an excellent job of getting every document sent over as soon as it was ready, and nothing was left outstanding when it came to moving day, which is more than I can say for the other solicitors in the chain.
Both Andrew and Harvey replied quickly over email, but Harvey was always there to pick up the phone whenever I needed to speak to someone directly. He was polite, reassuring and patient with every query and concern I had throughout the process. He is a real credit to the team.
I highly recommend Cook Taylor Woodhouse for anyone needing support with their next move.
