I have used Mowll & Mowll Solicitors for legal advice on a number of different matters over the years and have always been impressed with the level of service provided.
The team is professional, approachable, and highly knowledgeable. They take the time to explain legal issues clearly and provide practical, straightforward advice, making what can often be a stressful process much easier to navigate.
Communication has always been excellent, with prompt responses and regular updates throughout. I have felt well supported and confident that my interests were being looked after at every stage.
I would not hesitate to recommend Mowll & Mowll to anyone seeking reliable and professional legal services. Thank you to the team for your continued help and expertise.

Now that we've settled into our home I finally feel ready to review what an awful experience we had with Mowl and Mowl acting as our conveyancing solicitors. We instructed M&M in Sep 25 with Adrian Bowers who was friendly, spoke over the phone, and seemingly was 'getting on with the job'. Unfortunately, our home fell through in Nov 25, but we quickly resold two weeks later to a buyer who had also recently fallen through so was also quite far into the conveyancing process. In Dec 25, we got an out of the blue email to say that Adrian had left the firm and a new solicitor was starting at the end of January but someone was available to deal with enquiries in the mean time. As far as we were concerned, all searches had been completed, paperwork filled out, source of funds confirmed. When the new solicitor Laura took over at the end of January, we suddenly were asked for all sorts of paperwork we had already provided Adrian, and it was dealt with in an incredibly insensitive manner after a family bereavement. Laura then seemingly took countless days annual leave throughout february despite only starting weeks before (and without letting us know), she refused to speak to us on the phone, and took days to respond to emails. It took ultimatums and a formal complaint to the head of this firm to get anything done, and we were being told by our estate agents that everyone else in the chain was ready and getting impatient with us. The final straw was when we were given a moving date, which was changed literally two days before because our solicitors weren't sure they could withdraw funds in time, which was resolved by me calling my mortgage company myself. This then caused upset within the chain with everyone unprepared and without removals. The day of completion was horrendous, the estate agents told us our solicitor 'had gone on lunch' and hadn't sent funds, so we were sat on the drive of our new property at almost 3pm still waiting to move. We only used this solicitor as someone else in our chain was using our ordinary solicitors. Never again. They say moving house is the most stressful thing you can do, but this is only made worse by a disorganised firm and a solicitor who refuses to communicate with anyone.

A truly dreadful experience from this firm. A straightforward conveyancing matter without a chain has been dragged out for 5 months and still not imminent due to . . . Well, who knows? Emails are not responded to (even those expressing dissatisfaction with the service), promises of calls back not received. Poor.

Very poor experience with this firm.
We have been dealing with them for over 5 years on an estate matter, and the level of communication throughout has been extremely disappointing. Updates are rarely provided without chasing, and when we do receive a response it is vague and lacks any real detail or clarity.
More recently, we’ve been told that the matter cannot progress because executors have not been responding or signing documents, and that an application now needs to be made to remove them. This is the first time this has been clearly explained, despite the length of time this has been ongoing.
Overall, the process has felt slow, unclear and poorly communicated. For something that requires transparency and guidance, the experience has been frustrating.

We had the pleasure of instructing Adrian Bowers in our first house purchase. A no-nonsense lawyer, always at the end of the phone with an excellent and receptive colleague, Donna.
Knowledgable, straight-talking, hugely personable law people who, for the benefit of a layman like myself, have the rare skill of making complex issues understandable.
It has been a pleasure dealing them and would certainly recommend.
