Cannot recommend.
I must preface this by saying that I did manage to sell my house and buy another. However, there were many issues with this solicitor: some merely irritating and some verging on incompetence.
1. Throughout the process, the solicitor directed every question to my husband, even though we had both made it clear that it was my house we were selling.
2. At one point the solicitor said I should defer to my husband on all financial decisions even though I was providing 80% of our deposit. He also 'joked' that wives were only interested in kitchens.
3. The solicitor twice bent over backwards (literally) to shake my husband's hand first even though I was directly in front of him with my hand outstretched.
4. In spite of having a photocopy of my passport, the solicitor or his secretary (who I must admit was always polite to us) spelt my name wrongly so often and so consistently that my buyer's solicitor questioned whether I actually was the person on the deeds to my house.
5. When I received a phishing scam email (as a result of their lacklustre security) asking for me to pay my full deposit (over £300,000) into a scammer's bank account the solicitor said, 'I'm glad it was you.' Giving him the benefit of the doubt, which I'm not certain he deserves, he could have meant he was glad it was me because I saw through it. That said, given the way he patronised me the rest of the time, I'm not at all sure.
I could go on, but it's infuriating me just to think about this solicitor so I'll stop there.

Unimpressed with the service. Had to chase up a reply to every email, I didn’t ever feel like we were cared about. Very expensive service without the customer service, would have been I’ve if we were not made to feel like we were bothering them whenever we spoke.
