The team at this branch dealt with the conveyancing when I sold my flat, and did a perfectly fine job in the end. The sale took an exceptionally long time (c. 8 months), which was almost entirely due to issues at the purchaser's end. However, my experience with the team at Peter Lynn and partners certainly added to the stress of the process. They were often difficult to get hold of, and they never called back, either when I left messages or when a member of staff had explicitly promised that they would check something and call me back. Emails were often ignored for weeks at a time. On the day of exchange, there was a particularly farcical situation when the estate agent, the other side's solicitor, and I were all trying to call and receiving no response. I was on the point of driving to the office in person out of desperation when I finally got through.
I was surprised by the slew of positive reviews from people who engaged this team for the same services, but I note there has been a change of personnel since the majority of them were published -- this is consoling for me, as I'd otherwise worry that the quality of service I received was some kind of personal slight!

I had a wonderful experience when contacting Peter Lynn and Partners regarding the process for my potential purchase. They were professional and efficient at coming back to me regarding my worries about navigating the buying process for the first time. I felt that no question was unanswered and they were knowledgeable. Unfortunately things fell through on my end but they followed up and emphasised they would be available to help me in the future should I need it.

I do not recommend or trust this branch of Peter Lynn & Partners.
I’ll try and give a balanced and as fair review as possible to give any possible future customers an idea of what happened in my situation. I’m choosing not to name the representatives involved in my dealings with PL&P’s as I don’t feel it’s relevant to future customers. I’m sure the firm know who I’m referring to.
I completed the sale of a buy-to-let property with Peter Lynn & Partners in early October 2025. The process should have been straightforward as I’m sure they deal with matters similar to mine on a day-to-day basis. I’d note that the communication throughout the sale was poor and felt like I was the one picking up the phone to press ahead with the sale (not uncommon, this is certainly not the reason I felt compelled to write my first and only one star review).
Then in mid-December, right before Christmas, 10 weeks after the completion of the sale, I received an email from the firms solicitor advising me I still owe thousands of pounds in stamp duty (LTT).
This was because PL&P’s received less funds from my mortgage lender than they expected. I was under the impression I’d paid the correct LTT fees before the sale completion and a representative of PL&P emailed me to confirm the acknowledgment of funds, accounted for the LTT. PL&P have rejected this acknowledgment and pointed out she was a junior paralegal. I have learnt this person has now left the firm.
This was a major shock, especially right before Christmas. I urgently called the Welsh Revenue Authority who advised me the property was incorrectly registered by PL&P a week after the sale completion in October - which puts me directly at risk (PL&P subsequently admitted this was their mistake and agreed to pay the late fees).
As I proceeded to communicate with their customer service representative via email to process a formal complaint I felt he was very condescending and unprofessional in the manner he corresponded with me. (Yes, I do know what the word ‘complaint’ means, I didn’t need a definition from you). I felt you dismissed me before I could put my point across.
I did receive an apology from the practice manager and the customer service representative, which I felt was overdue, but appreciated. They offered me a compensation fee of £100.
Considering they told me their error just before Christmas, which therefore I couldn’t action any of it for additional weeks, and that they put me directly at risk with the WRA, I felt it was inadequate.
I’ve reported PL&P to the ombudsman and I will be escalating it to the SRA if necessary in an effort to highlight their incompetence.
I have used John Morse Solicitors in Swansea for the purchase of a previous property before and I’d highly recommend their professionalism, communication and due diligence.
I selected PL&P’s on this occasion because I was asked to choose, by my mortgage lender, from a list of ‘approved solicitors’ in my area. As Peter Lynn are well established and prominent in Swansea I felt they were a safe bet.
They were my representatives, and I trusted they’d carry out a straightforward sale correctly, I was wrong.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had an excellent experience with Saskia and her assistant Amanda throughout my conveyancing process. They were both incredibly professional, efficient, and always took the time to explain things clearly. Communication was consistent and reassuring — every email and call was responded to promptly, and I always felt kept in the loop.
Buying a property can be stressful, but Saskia and Amanda made it feel smooth and well-managed from start to finish. Their attention to detail and friendly, approachable manner really stood out. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and supportive conveyancing solicitors.
