As first time buyers the whole process was quite daunting as with anything if you have never done it before you really dont know what to expect. Very Poor Service and Communication

I would strongly caution anyone thinking of using Smalley Solicitors (Arnold office).

Our experience while selling and purchasing a property was extremely disappointing. The level of service fell well below what you would reasonably expect from a professional firm handling such significant transactions.

Communication was consistently poor. Emails frequently went unanswered, calls were not returned, and we were repeatedly left chasing for basic updates. At times, it felt as though our case was simply not being managed properly. We often had to follow up multiple times just to get clarification on important matters.

Even more concerning were the inaccuracies in the documentation. There was incorrect information included in key documents, which we had to identify ourselves. These errors caused unnecessary delays, additional stress, and a complete loss of confidence in the handling of our sale and purchase.

Buying and selling a home is already one of the most stressful life events. Instead of providing reassurance and professional guidance, this firm added to that stress through lack of attention to detail and inadequate communication.

Based on our experience, I would not recommend their services and would strongly advise other potential clients to carefully consider alternative solicitors before proceeding
