Shocking and deeply disappointing experience.
This firm instructed bailiffs to collect a debt from a charity that did not owe the money. Despite this being made clear, they were apparently content for the money to be taken while individuals connected with the situation were going through counselling.
For a professional legal firm, this behaviour shows a worrying lack of care, diligence, and basic compassion. Solicitors should be ensuring the right party is being pursued for a debt, not allowing enforcement action against organisations that have no responsibility for it.
Very concerning conduct and not what you would expect from a regulated profession.
