That honesty was worth a great deal, because it let me make my own decisions instead of guessing.

The fee is a percentage of the increase achieved, so the incentives pointed the same way as mine from the first day, and I always knew exactly what I would be paying and why.

Monaco Solicitors helped me achieve a successful settlement in a difficult employment dispute, and for that I am grateful. Their reputation in employment law is strong, and I believe this helped encourage the Respondent to take my claim seriously. The team were generally responsive, professional, and ultimately assisted in bringing the matter to a conclusion.

One of the firm's strengths is that they make employment law accessible through their online platform and case management system. The settlement negotiations were handled efficiently, and I was able to secure a positive outcome.

There are, however, some areas where I believe the service could be improved. Throughout my case I did not have a dedicated named solicitor and mainly dealt with caseworkers and team email addresses. At times the process felt impersonal, and I would have appreciated direct access to a solicitor, particularly when discussing important legal and settlement issues.

I also felt that I needed to take a very active role in the settlement negotiations myself. On several occasions I pushed for higher figures and improved terms than those initially being discussed, and I was ultimately able to secure a better outcome than the earlier proposals. I would have appreciated more robust negotiation from the outset to maximise the value of the settlement.

In addition, I believe greater transparency regarding success fee calculations would improve the client experience. In particular, I would have preferred clearer explanations from the outset regarding how fees would apply to different elements of a settlement, including contractual notice pay.

Overall, Monaco Solicitors helped me achieve a successful result, and I appreciate the support they provided during a stressful period. While there are aspects of the service that could be improved, I would still recommend them to employees seeking assistance with employment law matters.
