Ash and his team have been incredibly helpful, attentive to detail, and consistently supportive, even with the various hiccups and unexpected requests from different parties along the way. The conveyancing process went mostly fine; however, the completion statement was provided at almost the last minute, 2 days before legal completion. This gave very little time in case anything with the bank transfer went wrong, which was almost the case. I initiated the transfer with my bank on Monday evening. Nationwide's timescales mentioned "those requested after 3pm will arrive the next working day", so it should have arrived on Tuesday. It did not and that caused a lot of stress. Wednesday morning the funds were still not received, and I rushed to the bank to find out what was going on. Miraculously, the funds showed up shortly after.

Being provided the statement at such short notice was very risky and could have led to bigger problems if the funds didn't show up in time for completion day.

I have not been satisfied with some of Nikisha's responses, as at times they felt scripted and robotic. For example, when I said I sent the funds via CHAPS and mentioned as per Nationwide it should have been available the next working day, I was simply asked "is it a same day transfer" over and over again. Additionally, the email responses to some of my queries felt vague.

I had also informed the legal team of a Microsoft security warning that showed when I tried to open the link to the portal that is used for sharing legal documents but got no response.

I would highly advise Alexander JLO to work on improving their service to clients and ensure the completion statement is provided well in advance to avoid delays due to whatever technical problems the banks are facing.

Please read carefully. Not sure who is reviewing this company 4.9 . They are the worst firm I’ve had the misfortune of working with . We went with them as my ex partner thought it would be quick as they have something that’s called on boarding . Which is supposed to show you who your solicitor is and so on , it still says Kate , never spoken to Kate nor had her as my solicitor. The person I had was a Rude man called Boray izzet , doesn’t answer calls , doesn’t call back doesn’t send email , unless to tell not to tell him how to run his business, as I was getting emails that a member of his stuff had left the company, and why was this so. He got very animated then. This company took on our case back in July , and we completed 1st of February. They will not answer emails and prolong your case in order to make as much money as possible. I strongly advise shopping around , as I believe they are unprofessional. I made a complaint to Peter Johnson , still not come back to me . The only good thing about this company is the receptionist, I guess they have to be . Fielding all the nonsense from boat and Peter and Tanvir . So laid back he’s sleeping, telling us in more than one occasion we were ready to complete, only to be disappointed, again and again. The are not proactive company, but a reactive one , and will do everything at their past , to maximize fees they will later charge you. Please choice wisely .
