Brockbanks have assisted us with many legal issues, most recently a conveyancing matter.
Honestly the service and legal advice was FIRST CLASS!
I would highly recomend them!
Communication was prompt. Advice was astute and client focused. Paperwork was clear and easy to understand. Cost's were fair and reasonable.
Most of all we felt protected and in safe hands. So yeah, I will be using them again.

Brockbanks administered an estate of a relative who had drawn out a simple will logged for an estate under £100k (with no property) logged with Oglethorpe and Broatch years before it had been taken over by Brocklebanks. The paperwork was all copied and handed over.
Whole experience was a list of unanswered calls having to be chased, going over nearly two years. In the end it became clear the trainee solicitor Brocklebanks allocated was unable to complete simple tasks and even claimed there was no will. Leading to internal complaints and parts of the process having to be redone. The delays meant that one recipient (who died shortly after the process ended) never really saw the benefit of their inheritance could have provided them. There seemed to be a complete lack of supervision of trainee solicitors doing probate.
Very unhappy with the service and attitude. Just because they are the only solicitor left in Keswick doesn’t mean they exclusively deserve your business (which will be generally allocated to another office elsewhere by the chain). Better and quicker solicitors are out there in other towns nearby. If you have to use them for your business, copy every bit of paper you send as your record, note everything you call them to chase and keep every email you send.

I can highly recommend Oglethorpe & Broache of Keswick especially on this occasion soliciter Lisa, who did a home visit to my elderly parents to discuss and simplify The Power of Attourney.
