I couldn’t recommend Valerie and the team at Mancini Legal highly enough.

From start to finish, the level of communication was excellent. Valerie always responded promptly, answered every question I had quickly, and consistently provided reassurance alongside honest, expert advice, which made a huge difference throughout the process.

I initially used Mancini for a property purchase that unfortunately fell through due to building legislation requirements that hadn’t been flagged by the estate agent. Valerie went above and beyond to get to the bottom of the issue, giving me complete clarity and confidence at what could have been a very stressful point.

Because of that experience, I didn’t hesitate to return to Valerie and the team a few months later for my second attempt at buying, which has now successfully completed. This purchase also came with additional complexity due to the First Homes scheme, but everything was handled smoothly, efficiently, and with real care and attention.

Throughout both experiences, I had 100% confidence in Valerie and the team. Their knowledge, professionalism, and honesty really stood out, and I felt fully supported every step of the way.

On the 22nd of January, I was asked to share personal contact details, which I did not feel I was required to provide. On the 4th of February, I asked for an updated completion statement and enquired whether there had been any overpayment. Only then was I told that there was an overpayment and that I was in credit, pending a final check by the accounts team. Why wasn’t I informed of this earlier, instead of having to ask?

On the 12th of February, I was told that the funds would be released after I provided some personal contact details. I was still unsure whether I had to provide these and asked for an explanation. Only then was I told that a correspondence address, rather than the original contact details, would have been sufficient. Why wasn’t this explained in the first place?

On the 14th of February, the funds were finally released, but the amount was about half of what I had originally been told. I am still waiting for an explanation.

On top of this, I visited the firm twice to deliver signed documents. Every time I have used a solicitor before, if I went to the office, the receptionist always introduced me to my solicitor, which I found to be great customer service. Here, the solicitor never came to introduce herself, which left me with a bad impression.

Overall, communication throughout the process should be smoother, clearer, and more consistent, and customer service needs improvement. While several phone calls were made during the day, it is not always possible to answer calls while at work. Clearer email communication, or checking availability before calling, would have been far more appropriate.

Overall, I am not satisfied with the service provided, and next time I will be looking elsewhere.

Mancini have been absolutely amazing, especially in supporting us through a fairly stressful purchase. Rhianna particularly deserves a special mention, as her quick communication helped to alleviate a lot of stress. We do not intend on moving anytime soon but would not hesitate to use Mancini again if/when we do. Thanks again Mancini!

I've been making my will via the Will Aid Scheme with Mancini, and I've been so pleased with the high level of assistance from Hannah Walshe and Alison Rutherford! The process has been smooth and Hannah very efficient at getting back to me. Would highly recommended Mancini, and I will go to them again in future if needed.
