Blacklaw were a lighthouse in a rough sea. Every time I spoke to Vanessa (and team), I felt reassured and confident that they were acting in my best interests. Obviously I was using Blacklaw during a stressful and horrible time in my life, and Blacklaw were patient and compassionate throughout my experience with them. They were clear and upfront about the costs and processes they use, so when invoice time arrived there were no shocks. I genuinely believe that if I hadn't used Blacklaw, I'd not have gotten the result I wanted and needed and would have been worse off both financially and emotionally.
Although I hope to never need to use them again, I highly recommend them to anyone needing a family solicitor.

I engaged Blacklaw legal to register my house with the Land Registry and then to look after the sale of the house and purchase of my bungalow. Catherine and her team were exemplary throughout. The registration was slow due to the Land Registry backlog and the subsequent sale was a nightmare due to issues around my buyer and the sale of his property. Catherine ensured I was kept well informed and went above and beyond in sorting out problems arising during the sale. Catherine was very efficient and thorough and sorted all the detail on my sale and prospective purchases giving me sound advice throughout. The first bungalow I was after was put back on the market as my house sale took to long. Catherine went straight to it when I presented her with my second choice of bungalow. Catherine and all the staff at Blacklaw legal I found very approachable and professional and dealing with them was a pleasure. Thank you all so very much.
