We recently worked with Georgia while updating our wills, and we couldn’t have asked for a better service.
From the outset, Georgia was approachable, knowledgeable and exceptionally thorough. Her attention to detail gave us real confidence that everything had been carefully considered, and she took the time to explain the legal implications of different options in clear, understandable language.
Her advice regarding trusts, Letters of Wishes and, in particular, the option of using a legally binding memorandum for personal chattels was invaluable. It allowed us to make informed decisions that better reflected our wishes while retaining flexibility for the future.
Throughout the process, Georgia responded to our emails incredibly quickly and always answered our questions fully and patiently. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and her guidance made what could have been a daunting process feel straightforward and reassuring.
We would have no hesitation, whatsoever, in recommending Georgia to anyone looking for a solicitor who is professional, responsive, meticulous and genuinely committed to achieving the best outcome for her clients. Thank you, Georgia, for all your help. Dave and Anne

We were, honestly, really disappointed by our experience with Marches Law. I think I'm being generous with my two stars and am only really giving the second one because of the relief I feel having completed on our house. Communication was appalling. I would send an email, wait several days or over a weekend, send a second and often a third email and still not hear anything. When I called I would find people explaining they were busy and were dealing with emails in order. This happened repeatedly, and when I called to complain, the response I got was defensive: "the searches actually came through really quickly, it usually takes up to X weeks". My response was that was great, but I had no way of knowing what my expectations should be because literally no one would talk to me and tell me anything. Even when I called I was often told I would be called back and I received no phone call, meaning I called myself again a few days later. This lack of communication lead at times to our conveyancer asking the other party for information we actually already had, or raising issues we were happy with. It was very frustrating. There was also confusion about whether responses to enquiries had been sent or not, with the vendor's solicitor saying they had sent things and our solicitors saying they hadn't received them.
Emails we sent with attachments disappeared into the ether and later we were asked to send the information through again because Marches hadn't registered that they had received them. We were also given conflicting advice about whether digital versions of documents would suffice or whether a wet ink copy was needed (myself and my daughter spent a stressful day getting a wet ink copy back from her before we would complete - interrupting my work schedule and her exam studying) only to be told by someone else in the office they weren't actually needed. Documents we were told to sign and return recorded delivery right before exchange/ completion would have been inaccurate had my husband not thought to ask "does this actually need to be printed in colour?'. At no point did Marches admit any mistakes or take any responsibility. A simple, chain-free move became frustrating, stressful, and hard work because we opted to use Marches.
I see other people have had much more positive experiences with them so hopefully we were just a blip but it was honestly a pretty bad one. My constructive advice to this company is that they need to improve the quality and frequency of their communication and be slightly more humble when they make a mistake.

Georgia, ably assisted and witnessed by Ellie, was outstanding and exemplary on the two occasions Anne and I visited the Marches Law offices in Hereford, culminating in delivering our wills to us on the 5 February. Our choice of Marches Law was determined by their participation in the scheme that enabled wills to be drawn up at no cost other than a charitable donation. Our visits were accompanied by the endless rain accompanying our drive from Ross-on-Wye but the warmth and professionalism that greeted our arrival on both visits were exceptional. Georgia’s understanding, clarity of interpreting our wishes for both our wills was superb and we were very happy for the resulting documents to be lodged in the files at Marches Law Firm. We were extremely impressed with Georgia’s preparations (and more so knowing that she had experienced a harrowing long journey for a medical appointment the previous day). We unequivocally recommend Georgia, Ellie and Marches Law firm Hereford! Adrian and Anne Kendry

Marches Law provided conveyancing services for our first home purchase, and Jemimah was fantastic from start to finish. She was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process. The pricing was very reasonable too.

I was disappointed at the "Can't do/closed door" customer service I was getting from my conveyancing lawyers dealing with my ex who at that time was refusing to sign docs to sell our house. I found Marches by accident and was impressed that they were just the opposite and looked at ways to overcome this issue. Although they are not matrimonial solicitors they did help to convince my ex wife she was not at risk in any way and the money I had offered her from the sale would be hers. The ex caused me, the estate agent and Marches further issues along the way often bursting into offices with demands or even being rude. Although I am sure Marches prefer to do conveyancing for couples that are far more straightforward they showed professionality throughout and patience. In the end it was clear to me they had gone above and beyond for us to get this difficult house sale through. Jemimah was a star and communication was great and later Dawn and Megan did well for us too right at the end leading to completion. Due to my wife causing issues we were not easy customers for Marches to deal with yet Marches saw this whole thing through to the end. It was so wonderful to finally complete and get the money from the sale and also by doing this end an ugly relationship once and for all with my ex. I am very grateful to Jemimah for all she has done and am using Marches for a further job - this time for the next house I will move to. I can't thank Marches enough for the work they have done for me and highly recommend them
