HOLDEN LAW LIMITED

Not sure how the owner of the company can say he is a solicitor ,does make you wonder if he knows what he is doing .My parents had a will done through them and then they denied ever doing it. A bit of advise stay well clear of this company ,They will take your money and you will have to keep chasing them up to get anything done.

First and last time contacting this firm.
Absolute rudeness on a different level by both the receptionist and the “solicitor” I was put through to whereby not even giving me the opportunity to explain the circumstances and repeatedly interrupting as soon as I began speaking and then hanging up!
What a disgrace, especially when you have been given their details as a point of help.
Furthermore, when calling back to ask for the name of the solicitor I was put through to, I was refused this information, even to reference this person in a complaint.
As if that was not enough, the receptionist then also immediately hung up.
Appears to be a shambles of a firm and I can see why they have such a poor score rating on reviews.
They appear to fund legal aid which likely means already vulnerable clients who are already suffering financial constraints and this is the behaviour they are being exposed to.
I would never recommend such a firm to anyone, my experience is that they are unprofessional and unkind.

Joe Holden told me a contract I had issued was incorrect, so I would be unable to evict my non-paying tenant who was in Prison in France for people smuggling. The contract was, in fact, correct and I had to endure lengthy delays in proceedings. I finally complained about Joe Holden to the Law Society, who instructed him to return my fees and he was also made to pay me £100 compensation. I cannot believe he is still in business.

I used Holden&Co some years ago for conveyancing. We were very happy with them then but in more recent years the service has considerably declined. In our most recent request a couple of months ago we had an initial chat and agreed quote but then heard nothing for weeks. We ended up instructing another firm.

I went to Jo Holden for him to deal with a leaseholder. He said to me to pay £300 and he would carry out the necessary work. I heard nothing back from him in two weeks, went to chase him up and he done absolutely nothing not even sent a letter? When he said we had a very good case which we do. He couldn’t even remember what the job entailed, or even the names of myself, or the leaseholder until I had to go through the whole story. Again,
So I would steer clear of this solicitor. I wished I’d read the reviews beforehand. I will be reporting this to the law society as I recorded our conversation at the time of the first meeting.
