We used Nelson Myatt for the sale of our property and the purchase of our new home towards the end of last year. The service we received was excellent from start to finish.

We initially looked at using a large national online conveyancing company because their quotes seemed slightly cheaper than local firms. However after reading a number of poor reviews, we decided to look for a reputable local solicitor instead. Nelson Myatt stood out straight away, and their online quote system was quick, easy to use and gave an accurate price. The price was very competitive and only slightly higher than the online national companies, but the service we received was far superior.

Within 24 hours of instructing them, we had all the necessary forms and access to their secure online portal, which made uploading and accessing documents very simple. The process felt organised and efficient from the beginning.

We were lucky enough to have Claire Myatt as our conveyancing solicitor, and she was fantastic throughout. She introduced herself early in the process and kept everything moving smoothly. The sale of our house went through quickly and without any issues, with Claire keeping us informed every step of the way.

The purchase of our new home was more complicated due to delays and missing documents from the sellers’ solicitors. Despite this, Claire was extremely proactive in chasing things up and making sure the process kept moving forward. At one stage the sellers’ solicitors tried to rely on several indemnity insurance policies instead of providing the correct documentation. Claire advised us that this was not appropriate given the relatively new age of the property and stood firm until the proper documents were provided. This really showed that she was looking out for our best interests and not just trying to push the process through.

Communication was excellent throughout. Most of the conveyancing was handled via the online portals, email and phone calls, with just one visit to the office to sign the final paperwork. The office at Conwy Business Centre in Llandudno Junction is easy to find and has plenty of free parking.

Claire was always approachable, very knowledgeable, and quick to respond to emails - often the same day. Buying and selling a home can be stressful, but her professionalism and attention to detail made the whole process far easier than we expected.
