Arranged an appointment for probate & power of attorney at chorley hospital. There offices are just down the road so thought it would be convenient as my mother was in hospital.
How wrong I was, they tried to change the appointment from 1.30pm to 12.00 because the solicitor didn't want to travel from Preston to chorley & back to Preston, advised it was lunchtime and not convenient as they had protected lunchtimes .also advised them I was travelling from Scotland for this appointment.
The day of the appointment they rang two hours before to say it was cancelled due to sickness, by this time I on the motorway entering Cumbria.
Another appointment was made today at 3.30pm, it came & went, only at 4pm did they bother to ring to say the solicitor couldn't find a parking space, their office is just down the road so why they couldn't park there & walk.
I was called by Catherine whose attitude was poor, she tried to put the blame on me saying I thought you said we could visit after visiting times. I replied with notice & my mother who is 91 had another appointment & not enough time.
When I make an appointment I add in extra time for any problems I may encounter. Perhaps you should do the same?
At this point I stated how unprofessional they had been & told them to forget it and Iwould go elsewhere

This company sent a letter to my home that wasn’t for me or anyone linked to myself. (Mistakes happen). How ever instead of apologising for the distress caused they were neglectful, unprofessional, dismissive and above all extremely rude!

I was really impressed with the professional service Mr Margey provided in dealing with the sale of our property. He acted in a very friendly and trustworthy way and dealt with matters in an effective and pro-active manner. I would have no hesitation recommending him and the Chorley office to future potential clients in respect of their conveyancing services.

Not our solicitors but the other side. We inherited a house and wished to sell it with the longstanding tennant in situ. Our agents did this and our solicitors (Kirkhams) were first class. Not so this outfit. The Senior Conveyancer seemed to have forgotten she is there to SERVE her customer. I was once told that Accountants and Solicitors do not produce anything..they just keep score and follow rules. At no stage was anything prepared in advance and every search or action was last minute leading to delay after delay. She was impossible to contact direct by our agents and Solicitors.The warning signs were there; she went on holiday leaving strict instructions that the case was NOT to be progressed until she returns. And I thought there was no i in team...Perhaps related to Butch and the Sundance Kid... treat with caution

Fantastic service, Quick understanding and very professional. I was quickly called back and handed over to Paul who took my case very seriously and has spent a lot of time working hard to resolve it. I do not have a bad word to say about this company as I am happy with their contact and efforts from Paul. Would recommend to anyone who needs a legal matter looking into and resolving.
