I had a very bad experience with this solicitors’ firm. They handled the process extremely poorly. One of their staff members even walked out in the middle of our house exchange due to workload issues. At the same time, the firm was being bought out by another company, and their lack of preparation nearly caused us to lose our house and a significant amount of money.

My Husband and I were on holiday at the time, which they had been informed about six months in advance. Despite this, they suddenly realised they has 'forgotten' that we needed to sign an Important document and it needed to be signed and returned in 24 hours or we lose our sale and potentially our new home in the process. We were thousands of miles away! What a way to ruin our holiday.

This may have been bad luck, but based on our experience, I would not recommend this firm and would avoid them at all costs.

My wife and I were on holiday at the time, which they had been informed about six months in advance. Despite this, they suddenly required us to sign and return an agreement by the next day.

This may have been bad luck, but based on our experience, I would not recommend this firm and would avoid them at all costs.

Very very poor service. Do not use. All they want to do is take your money and make zero progression.

Unfortunately this doesn’t give you the option for no stars.
Shocking service, email after email requesting updates only to be ignored. When I asked why they couldn’t send a holding email the response was "It is not our usual practice to send holding emails to incur unnecessary expense for clients." As the client, surely its my choice if costs are incurred so that I know what’s going on, not theirs.
Service so bad I even had to drive from Cardiff back to Chepstow as all emails were being ignored. The response I had back from this was "In fact we have a policy that we are appointment only and you simply turning up on a number of occasions was very disruptive to us and is not acceptable"
Try responding to clients. !!
When presented with the final bill, I put in a counter claim for my time in chasing up emails along with time for having to drive to Chepstow, was offered a pathetic £100 plus VAT as a gesture.
When I continued to push I had this "I reiterate my position on costs and please note that I will only agree to the reduction of £120 if the matter is closed between us and the matter does not proceed further with yourself or any other party whatsoever”
You can have the reduction but you must keep it quiet.
Decided to pay them in full and resorting now to the Legal Ombudsman and small claims court.
Avoid at all costs........................
