Our experience of using Joe Egan solicitors for our house sale was a dreadful one. There was a lack of effective communication from the start and when we questioned the slow pace of sale progress a month into the process, Egan terminated our engagement by unfoundly claiming “alarm bells were ringing without explaining exactly what that meant! But, in reality, this meant that they did not like being challenged but it cost us a lost month.
Egan eventually refunded our retainer fee after we threatened escalation to the Legal Ombudsman about the unfair way we were treated.
Egan was the cheapest fee quote we received when initially shopping around for a conveyancer to handle our house sale. Pay a bit more for a decent conveyancer to avoid the stress and anxiety of dealing with Egan.
