Just wanted to say thank you to fnk legal for helping me write off and reduce my debts. everyone in the team was very helpful and informative and kept me updated. I knew there was risk they might not able to write off debts and only reduce depending on my own affordability but they got some good results. A huge nightmare over with.

I want to start by saying that I take full responsibility for the debts I owe. I reached out to FNK Legal when I was fully up to date with all my payments and had a good credit rating — I was just starting to feel stressed about managing everything on my own.

After explaining my situation, I was strongly reassured that their solution was the best option for me. I was told that stopping payments would help them negotiate write-offs, reductions, or refunds and that this approach would improve my overall situation long-term. I trusted their guidance because they presented themselves as experts.

Unfortunately, following their advice has put me in a much worse financial position than before.

Over the course of working with them, I paid FNK Legal £1,617, and only one small account was written off. The rest of my creditors have now defaulted or gone to collections — something that would never have happened if I had continued managing the payments myself. Because of this, my credit rating has significantly dropped, and I am now dealing with severe financial consequences that I didn’t have before.

To be clear:
• I approached FNK Legal fully up to date on every account.
• They advised me to stop paying creditors.
• That advice directly caused defaults, collections, and long-term damage to my credit.
• I now owe more, am under far more stress, and am financially worse off.

I appreciate that their communication was friendly at the beginning, but the guidance I received has ultimately had damaging effects that I am now left to resolve myself.

I’m writing this review because I don’t want anyone else to end up in the same situation. If you are currently up to date with your payments or maintaining your credit, please think very carefully about taking advice that involves stopping payments. The consequences are long-term and extremely difficult to undo.

I will now be handling my accounts directly with each creditor, and I regret trusting a service that has left me financially vulnerable instead of supported. They did refund me the difference between the small account being written off and what I had paid but this is nothing in comparison to the loss and stress I am now at.

5 Stars, dealt with my claim from start to finish. Always updated me and kept me informed. My husbands claim was resolved by the same firm. Both of us are really happy with our settlement. We would use these solicitors again.

I asked FNK legal for debt help and went ahead paying them £90 a month for 3 months of course this got me into arrears. However when I called after 3 months because I wanted to check how the process was going. To then be told their service wouldn’t actually be beneficial for me. Which is fine, they refunded me two payments not all three. But now I’m in arrears and now have an extremely low credit score. Although I was aware this would be the case, the point is they told me it wouldn’t be good for me to get help from them so now I’m in a worse situation that I started. Since then, I called again, someone said they weren’t sure why I was told this and that they COULD help. So, a different opinion from someone else and because they decided they could help they talked their way out of giving me compensation for my arrears.

Is still want compensation for the same and money wasted, getting me in arrears with a bad credit score for no reason… also guys they ignore emails…

This is an exceptional company. Farah is the best solicitor I have ever used. She is approachable, dedicated to her job and always try's to get the best outcomes for her clients. Would happily use Farah again if I ever had to.
