I honestly can’t thank IA Law enough for everything they’ve done for me over the past four years.

I was facing very serious charges involving banking fraud running into hundreds of thousands of pounds, and I was accused as the inside man. At that point, I was expecting a long prison sentence and was realistically looking at a minimum of five years.

Mr Ifzal Ali handled my case with so much effort and attention to detail. He went through everything properly, challenged every point, and never gave up on my case, even when things felt like they were going against me.

Because of him and my barrister, I ended up with a suspended sentence instead of going straight to prison, which is something I genuinely didn’t think would happen.

I was arrested in September 2024 and charged with murder. From the moment Mr Ali and his team took on my case, they gave me clear, strategic advice initially advising me to answer “No Comment” to all questions, and later, when the time was right, providing a carefully prepared statement. They handled every stage with complete professionalism and meticulous planning.

Even at the police station Mr Ali explained precisely how the prosecution would be putting their case against me at Court. I was remanded into custody and spent almost a year waiting for my trial, which began in June 2025 and lasted 8 weeks. Mr Ali appointed a highly experienced King’s Counsel barrister and junior barrister, who worked closely with me to prepare both mentally and physically for giving evidence. As the trial progressed, everything Mr Ali said about how the prosecution would put their case was completely correct. it’s as though he had a crystal ball. I know it was his skill and experience at work.

The team carefully assessed the strength of the prosecution’s case. They explained all the positives and negatives of taking the stand, and together we decided it was in my best interest not to give evidence, as everything that needed explaining was already dealt with in the carefully drafted prepared statement.

Their preparation, knowledge, and attention to detail were second to none. They examined every angle, challenged every point, and left no stone unturned. When the jury finally returned their verdicts not guilty of murder and not guilty of manslaughter it was the result of a year of relentless hard work and dedication from the whole team.
