These solicitors took my case on through legal aid without me being fully aware they will be handling my whole case as he asked me if I was happy for him to be his duty solicitor while in prison. I said yes. This enabled him to get legal aid and take my case on. I was released in beginning of March. They missed my preliminary defense hearing. I did bit hear from mirza, when I called him he didn't even know my name. My first meeting face to face after release wasn't with him but with his son khurrum who isn't even a solicitor but a trainee. When I asked why my defense hearing was missed he said "just" when asked what was the reason? Why didn't you lot get it prepared? "just didn't" this guy talks like he's on road. There's no professionalism about him and he only became a solicitor because daddy wanted him to. When I asked for my legal aid to be transferred they refused. When I met with mirza I was not confident with him representing me in court. He doesn't articulate his words like a lawyer should and also claims when he goes to court people say "ohhh number one solicitor" to any sane person they would understand those individuals are being patronising. But no, not Mr mirza. Long story short. I found myself a barrister and dropped these solicitors. Mirza mumbles in court. On my bail hearing I was sat 2 meters behind him and could not make out a word he was saying so God knows what the judge was hearing. When I told him I need more frequent meetings as my case was only 6 weeks away and we hadn't done a thing to raise a defense in 3 months he started moaning about how legal aid loses him money, but at the same time he refused to let me transfer it to another solicitor? Ridiculous. AVOID THESE GUYS. THE UNPROFESSIONAL ROADMAN SON AND THE MUMBLING FATHER. Im not speaking of their character outside being lawyers (and trainee) I'm reviewing them based on my dealings with them. If you want hope winning a case or even simply having competent representation then AVOIDDDDDDD these guys.
