My experience dealing with this firm was extremely concerning and left me questioning the professional standards being applied.
Solicitors are expected to uphold strict duties under the Solicitors Regulation Authority Code of Conduct, including acting with integrity, fairness, and in a way that upholds the rule of law. In my experience, those principles did not appear to guide the conduct in this matter. Instead, the approach felt aggressive, procedural, and driven by financial advantage rather than genuine legal merit.
What was particularly troubling was the apparent disregard for vulnerability and equality considerations that should form part of responsible legal practice. When legal professionals choose to push matters forward without properly acknowledging these issues, it raises serious concerns about whether professional obligations are being respected.
The legal profession carries significant power and influence. With that comes a duty to ensure the process is fair and not used as a tool to overwhelm individuals who do not have the same financial resources or legal leverage. When that balance is lost, it gives the impression that the system can be manipulated by those with deeper pockets.
Experiences like this inevitably raise questions about accountability within the profession and whether regulatory standards are being properly enforced. If the duties set out by the Solicitors Regulation Authority are not actively upheld in practice, public confidence in the legal system is severely undermined.
The legal system should never feel like a battleground where money and strategy outweigh fairness and professional responsibility. Solicitors are meant to be officers of the court and guardians of justice. When conduct falls short of those standards, it deserves serious scrutiny and regulatory oversight.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Allerton & Gladstone Solicitors, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the service I received. From the very first consultation, their team was professional, approachable, and genuinely attentive to my concerns.
What really stood out was their clear communication. Legal matters can often feel overwhelming, but everything was explained in plain English, and I always felt fully informed at every stage of the process. Emails and calls were responded to promptly, and I never felt like “just another case.”
Their attention to detail and thorough preparation gave me complete confidence. They were proactive, strategic, and clearly experienced in handling complex legal issues. Most importantly, they achieved a positive outcome for my case.
