Three years ago my step father died suddenly and I was faced with what felt like a nightmare situation, dealing with probate, selling a flat and liaising with a mortgage company amongst other debtors.

Howard and Co were recommended to me and I can honestly say from the minute I contacted them the entire team were superb. From the lady who answered the phone to all the solicitors who supported my mother & I: Jo (formerly of Howard and Co), Gaynor and most of all Kristal, who went above and beyond throughout the entire ordeal. She was professional, compassionate and patient throughout.

I work shifts and don’t live locally, but that didn’t matter to Kristal, she emailed or rang me at all hours when I needed answers to my never ending queries and questions. She ensured my mother’s case was assigned to Gaynor when she was on leave and I was always made to feel a priority.

I’ve only bought 2 properties in my life, the last one being over 30 years ago. The process nowadays has changed and coupled with the probate situation it felt like a legal minefield to manage, but Kristal guided me through the entire thing, demonstrating sensitivity, understanding and unbelievable patience throughout (even when I asked the same questions every week!).

This wasn’t ever a ‘one size fits all conveyancing package’ but an extremely professional and thorough client focused service where we really mattered. Many thanks to both Ian Carnley and Tina Garbutt for their efficiency, availability and friendliness in dealing with our sale and subsequent property purchase. This was made more difficult by the fact that we were living outside the UK but communication was not an issue as calls were returned promptly. Buying and selling properties can be a stressful time and I would recommend Howard and Co, and particularly Ian and Ruth, for making our transactions as stress-free as possible.

I’ve recently used Howard & Co and had Ian and Tina dealing with the sale of my property. They were both brilliant, kept me in the loop when necessary and were always there to help when needed.

Appreciate there is option of rear door access but how does one communicate arrival?
