We used Matt Roper for the purchase of our property and I highly recommend! We had such a tight deadline as I’m very heavily pregnant and he made sure he was absolutely on it with everything. He kept us in the loop constantly giving updates - nothing was too much trouble. Absolutely incredible communication, we can’t thank you enough for your speedy service.

Extremely poor experience with Bennetts Solicitors in the administration of a family trust. Funds were received by the firm in November and then held for several months with no clear timetable for distribution.
Emails were frequently ignored, and meaningful progress only occurred after I raised formal complaints and repeatedly chased for responses. Even then, replies often failed to address the key issues.
The unnecessary delay and lack of communication caused significant additional stress at an already difficult time. It is unacceptable for a firm to handle client funds in this way.
Overall, the service fell well below what I would expect. I would not recommend their services.

Anna Jordan dealt with the conveyancing of my house sale last year. I was very clear at the start it was a fast moving sale due to having a cash buyer and I was dependent on updates to ensure I could secure a rental property. Updates were extremely difficult to obtain, this impacted my onward rental due to not knowing where we were up to half the time. When I did get replies they were often brief and didn’t fully answer the question. I was constantly hounded by my buyer due to Anna’s poor communication. Having completed I then made a formal complaint to the other director Jane over communication levels who told me she would respond within the set timeframe and I never heard a thing back. The one star is for Fran who always did her best to try and get answers and I really appreciate. I am currently about to start another purchase and have taken my business elsewhere. Would not recommend.

We used Anna Jordan as our conveyancer for our house move. In 6 months we barely heard from her, and when we did it was a one sentence reply that didn’t address our queries. We were constantly chasing for basic updates that should have been given as standard. It was only when the possibility of making a formal complaint was mentioned that responses from her became more consistent. On the day of completion we never heard from her at all.
The overall lack of communication was shocking, definitely would not recommend.

Recently sold & bought a house and used Matt Roper at Bennett’s Solicitors in Macclesfield and he was absolutely exceptional. He was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. Nothing was too much trouble, and he explained everything clearly so I always felt informed and reassured.
