Nicola Holman acted as our conveyancer for both the sale and purchase of our homes when we moved recently, and we could not have asked for a better service.

From the very beginning, Nicola was prompt, helpful and clear in all her dealings with us and with the other parties involved. She kept us informed throughout, responded quickly to our (many!) questions, and explained matters in a way that was easy to understand without ever making us feel rushed or as though anything was too much trouble.

Moving home can be a stressful process, particularly when dealing with both a sale and a purchase at the same time, but Nicola’s professionalism, empathy and knowledge gave us complete confidence that everything was being handled properly. It only became apparent after completion that some aspects of the transaction had been more difficult than we realised at the time, which is a real testament to how calmly and effectively Nicola managed matters on our behalf.

The service Nicola provided was genuinely the best either of us has experienced, not only in conveyancing, but in any professional capacity. She combined technical expertise with real care and attention, which made a difficult process feel much more manageable.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this firm from start to finish.

Communication was consistently poor — I was often left waiting days for responses, and when replies did come through, they frequently failed to address the questions or points raised in my previous emails. Over the course of my case, I was passed between four different solicitors. Two of them left without any notice or proper handover, leaving me to repeatedly re-explain my situation and deal with unnecessary delays.

One of the solicitors assigned to my case was only working a 50% week, which I found wholly unacceptable given the time-sensitive nature of a property transaction. This lack of availability only added to the delays and overall frustration.

There was also a clear lack of knowledge and ownership of the issues I raised. At no point did I feel I was being given proper guidance or professional advice, which is the fundamental reason for instructing a solicitor in the first place.

To make matters worse, I was charged more than originally quoted despite the fact that the sale/purchase did not even complete.

I formally raised a complaint regarding these issues. A response was only provided after I chased it — several days past the stated deadline — and even then, it appeared rushed and inadequate. It simply listed timestamps of emails sent, without addressing any of the concerns I had raised.

Overall, this was a frustrating and stressful experience, and I believe the poor service contributed to the collapse of the transaction.

I would strongly advise others to avoid this firm.

We just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to Louise Brown for all her help with our recent sale/purchase. She took over our file half way through as our original solicitor had left the firm. She has been so efficient and managed to get our purchase to completion in just 7 weeks. However the thing we liked most about dealing with Louise is her friendly and personable demeanour, there were no “one word” reply’s in an email in the usual curt manner of solicitors we have dealt with in the past. She always kept us updated and it was just a refreshing experience all round. So if you’re looking for an amazing conveyancing executive then Louise is your lady. Highly recommend and we wouldn’t hesitate to use this firm in the future.

Following our recent house purchase/sale, we would like to thank Nicola Holman and the team for making the whole process as stress-free as possible. There was an unexpected issue with the title but they expedited it quickly to get us in the new home as soon as possible.
