I contacted this firm regarding a neighbour access dispute. The solicitor I dealt with appeared knowledgeable and initially gave me confidence in the case. However, I became increasingly disappointed with the lack of meaningful progress despite very substantial legal costs.

Over time, I was repeatedly asked to fund expensive further work, including paying more than £2,000 for a barrister’s opinion, while at the same time being advised that court proceedings would be extremely expensive and subject to very long delays. I was then later asked to pay for another barrister’s opinion without a clear explanation as to why the first opinion had not addressed the relevant issues.

In the end, after spending close to £10,000 in legal fees, I felt no closer to a practical resolution and ultimately decided to pursue matters myself through the small claims process.

My main frustration was the absence of a clear strategy, meaningful progression, or cost-effective route toward resolving the dispute. Communication was satisfactory, but every phone call and email seemed to generate further significant costs without corresponding progress.

This was simply my personal experience, but I would strongly encourage anyone instructing the firm to ensure they have a very clear understanding of likely overall costs, objectives, and litigation strategy from the outset.
