Please don't use this firm I spent over £5000 with them having not been found behind the wheel of a car but caught on CCTV having gone to a kennels to rescue a dog, I was going through extreme stress my partner was in ICU having suffered massive heart attack and was in a coma for 4weeks, everyday I would come home from 7 hours sitting with him praying he would wake up he never did, I never really drank neither did my beloved Steven, in 40 years I had no points on my licence, on the morning in question one of Steve's little dogs had gone missing, we rescued them and gave them a forever loving home, a kennels rang me and said he had been found and because of his micro chip had made contact, my initial thoughts were thank god little Bruno is safe I thought nothing of the fact I had been crying and up all night and had a lot too much to drink as I I had been up all night searching for him I just needed to get Bruno home safe. I live in the middle of nowhere no public transport, no taxis takes dogs, I just got in my car and drove to rescue Steven 's and my dog, country roads no speeding or driving in a unsuitable way, I left my property open the other dogs wandering free didn't even take my mobile or my handbag told all our fur babies just going to get Bruno before I got a taxi to the ICU to see their daddy in hospital. On arrival at the kennels they refused to let me have my dog back as I had no ID on me but they had rung me as the chip was in my name and that is how they had made contact, I am sorry I needed to get home and to ICU to see Steven whom was dying, the kennels called the police and I was arrested, handcuffed blood dripping from my wrists, treated like some scumbag despite my two degrees and point free licence. Whilst stuck in a cell the police refused to let me contact ICU at Winchester so they took away a whole day were I could hold his hand, for god sake what right have they got to do that. In addition to everything I had a mummy dog whom had 4 little week old pups I had left her to do her business whilst I collected Bruno, because the police kept me in a cell for 12hrs they were all dead when I got home, surely they could have taken me home and watched me whilst I looked after little life's but they chose to murder instead. After being released from my cell the day after little Bruno was released to me no ID needed????! Steven managed one more week in ICU then they withdrew his life support and he went into the hospice were he died on 26th April, the courts wanted to prosecute me before his funeral but he needed a postmortem to establish why he never woke up so the case was postponed , my solicitor from Geoffrey Miller seemed very understanding I told him about looking after the dogs 7 miles from society, his response was get RSPCA to help, most of our dogs already had been rescued from this place as the put them down if they cannot rehome, I now have no family or friends close, closest is 100 miles away I am 64 old lady having lost the love of her life, have to live in a back of a van no washing etc unless I walk a 14 mile round trip, could have got Geoffrey Miller to go for not guilty but I don't have £20,000

Absolutely first class service provided by Austin and Jeanette.
Cannot recommend highly enough. GM achieved a total acquittal of three charges against me ('failing to provide').

If you are facing a court appearance for drink/drug driving, then look no further!

I had been stopped by police for driving under the influence of THC, due to someone who doesn't like me reporting me and therefore my licence plates were flagged by the police and I was arrested.
Trying to find a good lawyer is not easy, but when I read the exceptional reviews of Geoffrey Miller solicitors I decided to call them and immediately received a good feeling about this company.
For my first court appearance I had used another solicitor, but their communication qualities were very disappointing.

Having had an initial telephone conversation with Daisy Nisbet, Motoring Litigation Specialist, she made me realise that this company was the one!
The following excerpt is from the initial email from Daisy:

Dear Timothy,

Thank you for your time today. I am very optimistic that, with our help, we can assist in ensuring you avoid a drug driving conviction and the mandatory one-year ban that would be imposed.

A Word on Due Diligence and Pricing

If you are exploring your options, I strongly encourage you to do your due diligence when comparing legal representation.

Transparency, integrity, and a proven track record should be key factors in your decision — especially when so much is at stake.

As behavioural economist Rory Sutherland famously put it:
“Cheap legal advice is like a cheap parachute — great if it works, catastrophic if it doesn’t.”

At Geoffrey Miller Solicitors, we understand that clarity is just as important as quality. We do not aim to compete on price but have developed prices that are designed to be all-inclusive, with no hidden extras or surprise add-ons as the case progresses. Each of our packages is structured to cover all essential work required at each stage, so you can move forward with full confidence and financial clarity.

A Proven Track Record Over 25 Years
2025 marks the 25th anniversary of our firm, and we're proud to have specialised in motoring law since founding the practice.

Over the years, we’ve built a reputation for exceptional results, with thousands of successful defences and countless lives positively impacted through our work. Our longstanding experience is at the core of everything we do.

Recognised by the Criminal Justice Sector
Our firm is frequently recommended by members of the criminal justice sector, including judges, magistrates, police officers, and prosecutors who have seen first-hand the quality of our work.

In fact, one of our most notable referrals in 2024 came from a senior prosecutor who had faced us in court multiple times and personally appointed us to represent their own son after witnessing our success in challenging prosecutions.

I was then contacted by James Tunstall (litigation solicitor), and I must say that James was exceptional. His professionalism, attentiveness, communication skills and caring manner are "second to none", right up until the day of the hearing.
James is truly "one outstanding individual".

My councel in court was Richard Saynor, and as soon as I met with him his professional, and confident way about him made me feel immediately hopeful, especially when he said that there was a very good chance that the case would be dismissed, which it was!
James is one excellent and exceptional barrister and his "cut-glass English" say's it all, together with his absolute confidence, calmness and complete effectiveness during the hearing.

My special thanks to Geoffrey Miller Solicitors for enabling the outcome of my case to be 100% successful.
Without you, my life would now be doomed.

Tim.

I can’t thank this firm enough for their support during my drink-driving case, which lasted around two and a half years. Throughout the whole process, I was kept fully updated and reassured at every stage, which made a very stressful situation much easier to deal with. I worked closely with Elnaz, who was professional, understanding and always took the time to explain everything clearly.

Although the price was steep, it was absolutely worth it and the level of service really proved its value in the end. My case was adjourned once, which was frustrating at the time, but on the second trial date I was acquitted. After dealing with this for nearly three years, it is something I can finally put behind me. I genuinely felt supported and in safe hands from start to finish, and I would highly recommend their services to anyone needing legal representation.

I instructed this firm in relation to a motoring matter on a standby basis. While work was carried out and staff were generally polite, my overall experience was disappointing due to poor communication and lack of proactive case management.

In particular, I was not asked when I was due to return to the police station, which resulted in advice being given only hours before a critical police interview — something I had to notify the firm about myself. This left me feeling underprepared and unsupported at a key stage. Communication around court attendance times was also confusing and caused unnecessary stress.

Although the firm maintains that all work was completed in line with their package, I do not feel the level of reassurance, clarity, or proactive guidance I received justified the fees charged. Concerns raised were ultimately dismissed rather than meaningfully addressed.

This may suit clients who are very confident managing matters themselves, but if you are looking for clear, proactive communication and close case management, I would advise caution.
