In my opinion, my family had a very poor experience with this firm. I was told I could not record the meeting, and I was left very concerned by the way our case was handled. The experience has caused ongoing stress and difficulties in our lives. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company and would suggest others look carefully at alternative firms.

Disgusting attitude from the old female attorney/solicitor, extremely rude, incompetent and talks down to you if you even tried taking down notes regarding options for our parents Will. My parents age 70+ asked for me to attend the meeting as they (parents) don’t understand a lot of what the solicitor is offering or advising, Wills and IHT etc. Quote from the solicitor “I’ll let you know when you can take notes”, “I’m not interested in what you like to say” and at the end of the meeting she basically ignored me. She didn’t even have eye contact when she addressed me. Let alone bullish behaviour. She’s totally unprofessional and lack people skills! Horrified!

Void at all cost!

Gill & Co mishandled my case involving a claim for beneficial interest in a long-term family home. In my experience, they submitted irrelevant and unsigned drafts, merged my ex-partner’s bundle into mine (despite him having separate legal representation), and failed to argue the key facts properly. The judge described the bundle as “a mess.” Two contradictory proposals were filed, and my solicitor supported an inaccurate claim that I was “living rent-free,” which undermined my position. They also didn’t challenge a false claim about the mortgage being buy-to-let, though it was residential. I was left without a fair hearing and am now facing eviction. I also became concerned about changes made to dates after I signed documents, so I strongly advise others to read everything carefully. In my honest opinion, this firm is not suitable for complex or sensitive cases. I cannot recommend them based on my experience.
