Absolutely disgusting the way I’ve just been spoken to by a Jessica Yates. My mother is mentally ill hence why she didn’t pay her council tax and no one knew about it. I agreed to pay £350 a month with the court to help my mum out as she is no longer able to work due to her mental and physical illness. I’ve called to ask for the payment to be reduced due to a change of circumstances in my finances - and the way I’ve been treated is absolutely disgusting. I’m shocked beyond belief. I was asking a question and Jessica interrupted me before I could even finish and told me to stop speaking to her with an ‘attitude’ and threatened to put the phone down whilst I’m clearly an emotional wreck trying to sort things out for my mum. Not once did I swear or raise my voice even though I’ve been ignored for days, having to continuously chase this up, being promised call backs and being spoken to like a criminal. Not everyone has all day to sit on the phone to the worst company I’ve ever known, some people actually work. I’m going to be raising this as far as I possibly can because god knows how they treat other vunerable people.

Also, I am a client? Why else would I be complaining to you? And I have already put in an official complaint but still not heard anything back?

After reading all of the below reviews I also feel the need to warn others of this company after my experience! It is exactly true that they use aggressive bullying behaviour!! I had to get my other half to deal with them in the eld as they were so vile, they do not listen to anything and do not care what impact they have on anyone’s mental health. Completely understand they have a job to do but the way this business conducts themselves towards others is disgusting. I was also scammed out of thousands of pounds from another company which this company made me pay with their scaring tactics. Now I am in a better frame of mind I can see quite clearly what has gone on! DO NOT USE!!!

The most incompetent solicitors in the UK.
These ‘solicitors’ acted on behalf of ocasa homes who claimed I had missed a rent payment. Which was untrue, when I had the first letter through I sent a email showing all payments of the 12 month contract were paid on the 1st of every month as requested by the landlord. This was ignored claiming I still owed rent. Due to Green halgh Kerr being completely incompetent and showing huge negligence this has resulted in me gaining a CCJ only for these ‘solicitors’ to then agree that they were completely wrong and then decided they would no longer pursue it. These people are the most incompetent I have ever come across as they are unable to read a clear email showing the payments correlating with the contract.
I will be taking this further to the financial ombudsman and will be making sure these ‘professional people’ pay to remove the CCJ.

Emily Davison from this firm seems to enjoy bullying tactics that simply will not work with me as she found out in court today. They seem to do things the hard and expensive way costing their clients lots of money when she could have done matters the easy way and settled without the need of wasting the court’s valuable time.

Greenhalgh Kerr Solicitors is by far the most aggressive, unprofessional and frustrating firm I've had the misfortune of dealing with. Their approach is nothing short of bullying. They take pleasure in creating unnecessary obstacles and their aggressive tactics leave you feeling completely powerless.

They charge exorbitant amounts for involving multiple people in what should be a simple case, likely because no one knows what they're doing. Each time I think I am getting closer to resolution, I am handed off to someone new—each one more incompetent than the last.

In short, Greenhalgh Kerr Solicitors is a money-grabbing, unprofessional firm that wastes your time. If you value your time, money and sanity, stay as far away as possible.

It’s telling that they consistently respond to critical reviews with a generic statement about their regulatory credentials, instead of addressing the legitimate concerns raised. While their SRA regulation and Lexcel accreditation may be valid, they do not excuse the aggressive, unprofessional behaviour and lack of transparency. My review reflects the conduct I witness and no amount of boilerplate responses will change that.
