Having completed a lengthy and complicated probate and sale of deceased property , I wanted to acknowledge the work of both Sylvia Tomlin and Livia Sedovic who guided me through a tousle challenging year. Livia managed the probate on my behalf, advising and prompting me through this painful process . Sylvia managed the house sale, which encountered a number of intractable problems created by the house builders and their management agents, who had failed to do their job! Hodkin and Co. were instrumental in my wife, Annick, and I realising the need for a Last Will and Testament and Lasting Power of Attorney and then in helping us produce them. We really appreciated their efficient, professional manner as well as their friendly, helpful approach when visiting us at home and guiding us through what can be quite a daunting business.

They also did the conveyancing for me in the sale of my mother’s property in East Anglia. It was reassuring for me to have their knowledge and patience on my side during a long ordeal in which three different families showed a keen interest in the property, only to pull out for various reasons at the last minute. The only constant in all this were Hodkin and Co who dealt with three different solicitors for the buyers in their customary professional manner, finally securing the sale after nearly a year of frustration.
