Don’t be fooled by what appear to be out-of-date and/or fake positive reviews inflating Diane Genders Solicitor’s review score - I’m surprised Genders is still in business: she barely is now, with 3 staff in total!

I was advised by legal professionals that know Genders well, that’s she is ‘focussed only on revenue’, ‘doesn’t have a conciliatory bone in her body’ and is a ‘one-trick pony’ - all of this proved completely true. Acting for my ex-partner, Genders filled her bank account while following her usual routine (attempting to coerce a baseless settlement under threat of court action - scare tactics without sound legal foundation) only stalling when my ex ran out of money. Genders wouldn’t engage, in any way, until the money started to flow again!

Calling Genders bluff and taking matters to court (on 3 occasions), Genders proved totally ineffective, only achieving a single figure percentage of the divorce settlement sought - this amount eclipsed by her unjustifiably high fees.

If your ex is blinded by emotion and vengeful, he/she is an ideal candidate for Genders’ services. But, if he/she has engaged Genders fear not - Genders is nowhere near as good a solicitor as she claims to be!

I regret ever using D Genders as my divorce solicitor. They made plenty of recommendations about what I was entitled to go for and promised all sorts of results in my favour and giving false hope to keep me engaged, none of which ever materialised. They were made to look a joke in court with the other solicitors laughing and agreeing with the judge that everything Genders presented was based on a wim/prayer rather than knowledge of the legal divorce proceedings!
I came out of my divorce with significantly less than my husband and extortionate fees of £20k plus.
This firm is only fit for completion of the divorce documents which ironically is the bit that you can do yourself online!

Diane Genders and her whole team are absolutely fantastic. They have promptly sorted out a situation out for me which other solicitors failed to do over the course of a few years.

From the initial consultation Diane was both friendly and knowledgeable and knew the exact steps to take to efficiently resolve the situation, instead of using guess work which a lot of solicitors appear to do nowadays.

The ladies in reception are also brilliant and all appear to have an extensive knowledge of the law and procedures that need to be followed so they too can quickly and efficiently deal with any queries.

Yes all solicitors are expensive as everyone knows, but with Diane I feel the money has been put to good use via proper bill breakdowns so you can see where the money has been spent, but most importantly using it wisely to reach a conclusion. I will not use anyone else in the future and will not hesitate to recommend these guys to anyone.

Nice to read that things haven’t changed at Diane Genders. It has been a number of years since I first set foot through the door only to find that she is more than willing to empty your bank account in fees, and deliver absolutely nothing in return. Regretfully I stuck around with her for far too long before I twigged on as to her practice, and so took my business elsewhere. Stay well away from a firm that had/has to advertise on local radio

I liked Diane very much and she educated me to advocate for myself in mediation effectively. She never spoke down to me and I felt empowered which was important.

Sometimes I needed to chase up things a little (though most of the time it was slowness on the part of my ex) and it’s not cheap, but then I don’t feel she took an opportunity to take more money than what was needed.

My husband refused any spousal maintenance and I ended up with £850 per month for 5 years. I can manage while my children grow and buy my own house now.
