WILKS PRICE HOUNSLOW LIMITED

These solicitors are the vendors solicitors of a property I hope to purchase. Sadly they appear to be absolutely useless, don’t complete documents, don’t respond to my solicitors or even the vendors estate agents calls or emails. They promise documents to be ready and then don’t deliver. The latest issue is that I’ve had so far an 8 week delay of waiting for a document that should have taken an hour tops to complete.
I wouldn’t recommend them to make the tea let alone do any conveyancing.

Apart from one member of staff I spoke to, I found everyone else to be abrupt, unhelpful, unprofessional, and they would not answer emails or answer questions. Someone even accused me of recording a phone call, which I found quite insulting.

Extremely professional and attentive service. Superb knowledge of the local area and in my experience an outstanding service. Credit to Gabby and Natalie. Thank you. Highly recommend for helping with the selling of a property.

Unfortunately I have found a few solicitors 'slack' in responding, yet Wilks Price Hounslow made it to number 1 on the list for being slack and unhelpful, to the point they actually made it worse.
On one occasion I had no choice but to attend their offices and sit and wait till I was spoken to so to have an appointment made as no phone calls were returned, then after moving into my home, I was flooded, I wont go into reasons but it seems to be the local council at fault who blamed WPH for not informing me of the watercourse/drainage pipes, but although WPH stated they would look into the matter, I allowed more than reasonable time (8 months) for a response from WPH due to issues concerning lock-downs from covid. I eventually had to make a formal complaint to the legal ombudsman, who, found in my favour. I have been awarded compensation, No apology or acknowledgement of the issues by WPH although they did email me to ask If I was still pursuing my ombudsman action against them, although that had taken over a year to get resolved due to a backlog since Covid. I can only advise that anyone looking for a reasonable solicitor, they should avoid WPH.
