Their handling of my late father’s property is directly affecting our entire family, and the service has been absolutely appalling.

My father passed away 2 years ago and my sister is buying his house from us. She already lives in the property, so this should have been a relatively straightforward transaction. LPL Solicitors were instructed well over a YEAR ago, with Keenan dealing with the matter, and we are STILL waiting for completion.

Our solicitors have been ready to proceed for a considerable amount of time, yet they have repeatedly struggled to get responses or any meaningful progress from LPL. The lack of communication and urgency is genuinely staggering.

Because of these delays, my sister has already had one mortgage offer expire. She now has around a few weeks remaining on her current mortgage offer and, unbelievably, we are facing the possibility of that expiring as well.

This isn't just paperwork sitting on somebody's desk. This is our late father's home, our family is trying to deal with his affairs, and the unnecessary delays have caused an enormous amount of frustration and stress.

After more than a year, I simply cannot understand how a relatively straightforward property purchase can still not be completed.

If the current mortgage offer expires because this matter is still not completed, we will be looking at formally escalating the complaint, including to the relevant ombudsman.
