We were rigorous in our selection of a legal adviser for our house sale and purchase, obtaining a dozen estimates from online solicitors and those local to the Maidstone area. then comparing their costs against the reviews on a number of forums. The online solicitors were cheaper but we decided we would prefer to speak face to face with someone local should something go wrong.
