If you want a smooth and civil experience when buying or selling property, I strongly recommend avoiding this law firm. There’s a reason they rank poorly in the area. One of their solicitors made the process unnecessarily stressful and drawn out, showing little interest in finding solutions and instead seeming to create problems. Communication was extremely poor, and efficiency was seriously lacking.

Lisa thinks no news is better than bad news. Lisa waited until half 4 to tell us her clients mortgage hadnt come back.. the same day we had agreed to move and she was the one who suggested the date.

Caused issues right up to the last day because of poor and slow communication.

If we hadn't been constantly pushing for things to happen it would likely have never completely and wasted every ones time and money.

Shocking. Very poor service, yet very very expensive.
Three times i had to correct errors on official paperwork where Burton & Dyson had clearly copy and pasted details from a previous customer but got it wrong. Wrong name, wrong date of birth etc. Total lack of professionalism.
If they were as good at the job as they are in requesting money I would have been well pleased.

I used Burton and Dyson for selling my home and buying a new one. They were brilliant throughout the process, so thorough and also really quick. Whenever I contacted the response was quick, not that I needed to contact them often as they kept me up to date throughout the process. Throughout the sale we were always ahead of the buyers solicitors. We would have completed in 2 months if the buyers solicitors kept up, but instead completed in 3 months, which we weee happy with. The standard of the searches report on the house we were buying was excellent.

My advise for anyone thinking of using these solicitors for conveyancing please don’t ,She was great at finding problems but terrible at finding solutions.
Thank goodness my self the seller and the buyer was personal friends else this sale wouldn’t of taken place at all just horrendous for both parties took the sparkle off the whole process.
Never again if I sell any other property’s if the buyer has this solicitor I will not proceed ,took forever and charged my buyer more than my solicitor who was on the ball and found solutions to all her questions.
